Experimental design for Proteomics, Step 4
What is the boiling point of water?
Imagine a simple experiment to find the boiling point of water. You might think you had controlled all the variables - but if your lab was in Mexico City you would get a different result to a lab in Amsterdam. Repeating experiments in other labs challenges base assumptions and can uncover subtle effects that dramatically change experimental outcome.
| If we have the ability and discipline to reproduce experiments across-labs then we have a much more solid foundation on which to create a real impact with proteomics. |
